Despite contacting over 20 SCUBA clubs and numerous individuals active within diving, our ticket sales have barely made double figures.

The event is therefore cancelled as it is neither financially viable or worth the travel for those who did buy tickets.

So what’s this Scuba Sale all about?

When we put the idea for the sale together, we wanted to achieve two targets:

• Allow divers a face-to-face chance to buy and sell unwanted or surplus dive gear
• Have a location for a really good chinwag with added cake and drinks

And to be brutally honest, a few quid for branch funds would certainly help too! Ultimately, we’re trying to create an event – hopefully an annual event – that allows people to enjoy a relaxed social environment at the beginning of the dive season.

When is the sale?

The sale is CANCELLED. We will be setting up from 0930 but would ask buyers to hold off until 1000 to allow us and stall holders to set up.

What can I buy at the sale?

Well, we can guarantee great cake and drinks, but the rest is all up to our vendors. We’re sure that some individuals with far too much gear will take a table for themselves, whilst a few branches may well rent tables on behalf of their members.

Will there be businesses at the sale?

We’re not planning for many businesses to take part, but we may open up a very few tables – no more than three – if businesses want to come along. There will be a special rate for business tables.

Will anyone else be there?

We’re inviting BSAC Regional Coaches from West Midlands, Southern, South Western and Wales regions to attend. We’ll set a special space aside for them to meet with visitors. We’re also hoping the RNLI will have a stand.
